Assignment for Digital Cel Animation

The assignment was to create a 15 sec commercial about:

☺ Adobe Flash
☺ SCAD Animation Department
☺ Senior Film idea

or Do a 15 second "Home Run" Animation for a baseball stadium.

I did the Film Idea one!

Its about a pig named Orville who wants to fly, and his friend Winsor who is not as enthusiastic about the idea.

Done with Adobe Flash, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

I would say give the stagnant pig more expression. If he was watching Orville set up the camera and gave the audience a, "This pig is an idiot" face it would make the down time between the beginning and the punch line more engaging and enjoyable. Also, the time it takes for his legs to drop makes it awkward when he stops mid-air. If he stops he needs to stop entirely except for his facial expression. It will make more sense to your audience as they are familiar with that dynamic from Looney Toons.

Otherwise great work! Looks really stylistic and I think you have great potential to be an animator.
